I want a house that is about one mile away from 4541 College Oak Drive. However, all these pictures do not show the distance from my address. Thanks.

Verdi, Ca to be recognized
Verdi, Nevada is recognized by your search but Verdi, California is not, the border runs through the town, they share the same zip and a lot of homes occasionally go up for sale on the California side where I would rather live. Love your site, keep up the good work. Thanks Jim'

Let people look at properties for sale without having to sign up for email updates
I would like to look at the homes that are currently listed for sale in my area. I don't want to have to sign up for updates. Your site will not allow me to do a thing unless I do that. So I'll be using another site!

You are in no way required to sign up for emails to use the search function on the site.
The Map only asks you to set up listing alerts when you perform certain actions like clicking on multiple properties from a search or your first time to the page.

We try to update the site in real time. Some cities are delayed for 1 day because of MLS restrictions on the data feed they provide.
We also recently upgraded the way we display the listing status of all properties. If you look for “Status” to the right of the property image you should be able to identify if it is sold (off market) or Active (On the market)

Fix website
I have tried to enter callback info and cannot bring box to expand. Will not let me enter info. I am interested in learning about a home in Central City Colorado on 1071 Nevadaville Rd. for 45,000. I am interested in learning if the seller would consider a rent-to-own.

I need a legend on the map. . .
In other words, the little teardrops on the map indicate green if they are new in last 7 days, however, what does red mean? What do the grey teardrops mean? They all say "active" on the house tab (and I only picked "active" on the drop down box.
I just want to know if the red and/or gray teardrops indicate "contingent" sales? Or already sold?

Great question!1. Green pins are new in the last 7 days.
2. Red pins are all active.
3. Grey pins are properties you have already seen.
4. Pending properties are also red as they are technically active.
5. We are adding inactive properties soon and they will be blue.We will consider adding a different color for pending properties to visually separate them from the truly active properties.

Why dont give phone numbers homes owners
Is to easy call to home owner for check address and prices
1 voteThat information is not provided by the MLS. However, the listing agent is acting on behalf of the seller so that information is enough for a listing.
Additionally, it is much better to have a buyer’s agent contact the listing agent instead of contacting the listing agent yourself. The listing agent has the seller’s interest in mind and will not necessarily do the best thing on your behalf.

The newly-listed property I received by email does not appear on the web site...it should show-up at some point, but it would be nice if both were available at the same time.

Review agent assignments. I search properties across the US and only one agent is assigned. Email confusion...
Let me choose agents when I searching areas outside my usual area of searching. I get puzzled Movoto agents sometimes states apart saying they don't cover that area.

Provide a SORT option in the Advance section
1. Gives the client a greater focus on the properties for which they qualify rather than search everything. In this sense, they may opt to stretch their options and go for a higher priced property and try to negotiate if a house is seen that more readily meets their needs.
2. Also provide a download capability to Excel at the LIST display.1 voteYou can sort by price in both Mapsearch and in Property Search. Mapsearch also gives you about 4 or 5 other ways to sort including Days on Market, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, and sqft.
The sort function is in the section directly beneath the search bar on Mapsearch.

Need a button to update the criteria
Can't update, it only lets you reset, it's too annoying not being able to update. Need to identifiy how long the house has been on the market and whether it's been reduced.
1 voteOnce you select a criteria it automatically updates the search. So selecting DOM or price reduced refreshes the search right when you change it and you do not need to click update.

your addresses are coming up in the wrong areas...
The addresses are coming up in the wrong locations - like 29 Palms is coming up as in Playa Del Rey and not where its at "near Joshua Tree" .... and I will tell you that the single home houses in Playa don't go for under 200K
1 voteJust did a quick search and you are definitely right, nothing is under 200k in Playa Del ray.
In terms of address search, we are constantly working to improve our algorithm to give better results for addresses. However, we realize that right now the system is still not perfect and you will get the occasional result that is way off geographically, or way off common sense-ly.
